A d a m A n d r e O b i r e k

There are a million things that I could tell you about my husband but more than anything, HE IS MY WORLD! My husband became my best friend in May 2011. I think most people abuse the term " Best Friend " & most of the time they really don't understand what it means to have a best friend. To me having a best friend is having someone that you want to share everything with. No matter how big, small, fun, lame, inappropriate, sad, happy the story might be the first person you want to tell is them. Every event that you attend you wish they would be there to share it with you. Having a best friend means that you put them before yourself. You would do anything to make sure they are taken care of, loved enough, comfortable enough & always happy enough. Big news to them is big news to you. And that right there my friends, is how I knew that I had fallen in love with my best friend!
Adam & I went to High School together & graduated the same year. However, we never were great friends at all we just ran into each other at the same place & same time. After High School, Adam joined the military & got stationed on Camp Lejune, North Carolina. Summer 2011 I had planned to go there to visit my cousin & her husband who were stationed there as well. Adam & I talked & got to know each other for a few months before we finally had our first date at the Tim McGraw & Luke Bryan concert in Raleigh, North Carolina. Call me crazy, but we both talk about it now that we are married & we both say we knew after our very first date we weren't ever going to let each other go.
Many people have described our relationship as a free spirited because no matter what we are going through we are always smiling, adventuring, & supporting each other! I fell so deeply in love with Adam because he has really taught me how to smile even when I feel that theres no reason at all to smile. He has shown me that no matter what rough situations we go through together whether it be long distance, deployments, loneliness, or sadness in the end it will only make us stronger as a couple. We both have learned together that the most important things in life is to take EVERYTHING in life as a blessing. To really live happily you must live admiring God, admiring people, & admiring the earth. The last two & a half years together we have been to 10 different states, seen so many awesome places, done so many memorable things together, & made so many great connections with friends & family. We have also been separated many times by distance due to the Military. Right now we are going through our second deployment together but every time that we leave each other we tell each other that theres always something to look forward to, & that is to "ADVENTURE ON"!

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

“We know that these troubles produce patience. And patience produces character...”Romans 5:3-4

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."- 1 Corinthians 13:
