Today was another gorgeous day in the 70s here so I wanted to Surprise Adam when he got home from work & take him to someplace close to the beach that had fun things we could do. Well, Ive learned that businesses in North Carolina really know how to make their place look good ONLINE. I decided to take him to a Mini Golf place that was hyped up in Topsail but as it turned out this place looked like it was hanging together by a thread it was a DUMP! Next I decided to take him to a Roller Skating Rink on the beach that ended up looking even worse than the mini golf haha SO MUCH FOR SURPRISE! However, we ended up stopping at a beach town called Surf City & it turned out to be awesome. We spent the day there walking around the shops, eating at a restaurant outside on the water & laying on the beach taking lots of pictures! I am super stoked about how these pictures turned out also! Turned out to be a good failed surprise day :)

Topsail Beach is an island that is only 10 minutes from us! Its such a cool little 13 mile island full of beach houses, shops & water surrounding both sides. I am so glad we have this beach so close to our apartment.

My husband is finally home from his second tour in Afghanistan & we are finally together for good! I couldn't be happier! Recently we moved into our own apartment in Sneads Ferry, NC right outside of Camp Lejeune. We are about 10 minutes away from the water in all directions & we have been loving it. Our first trip to the beach was to the beach that is on base called Onslow Beach. The beaches on the east coast are SO beautiful! They are so much different from the beaches I grew up on in California but I am falling in love with the simplicity & old fashion beach town vibes.

As most of you know I am a native Californian! I grew up on the beaches; surfing, tanning, loving the clear water & the california sunshine. These pictures I took at my favorite beach in Laguna Beach, California represent Orange County perfectly. I captured the glimpse of the famous Catalina Island that everyone talks about, our sparkling clear waters, tall palm trees & gorgeous sunsets.
